By the request of Szegedi Szabadtéri Játékok, we developed a spectacular application based on augmented reality. With the help of augmented reality, the virtual statue exhibition brought the world’s most famous statues to arm’s reach.
Visitors of the exhibition could see famous artworks up close, like the statue of David, a soldier of the Terracotta Army, Laocoön and his Sons, the Sphynx, the Statue of Liberty and Rodin’s Thinker.
Visitors can walk around the exhibition with tablets picked up at the reception. We previously installed the application to the tablet, so visitors can easily use it during the exhibition.
The 3 metres high decoration elements are spectacular in themselves too, but they also serve as markers: visitors can point the tablets on them, and the artwork appears. Visitors can admire the statues, walk around them and with the help of the program, can take and share photos – take a selfie with the world’s most famous statues! The exhibition opened in the Night of Theatres and was a huge success.
Since the 2016 presence of the exhibition, we used the augmented reality technology during campaign planning and for brand building as well. The technology is extremely spectacular, draws attention and is beneficially connected to marketing in many areas.
